In partnership with Diakonie ACT Austria and with support from the Waldensian Church of Italy (Otto per Mille),

NGO Hope and Health,  launched the project Improving living conditions of adults with intellectual disabilities (PWID) and their families by accessible social service in Day Care Center in Moldova.

The project’s objective is that over 30 people with intellectual disabilities (PWIDs) and their families’ members benefit of regular day care center services (including training, psychological assistance, consultancy, socialization, humanitarian aid, etc.)

This project application is designed to continue NGO Hope and Health efforts in offering support services to its beneficiaries – adults with intellectual disabilities and their caregivers, as well as to increase organizational capacities as to increase the services quality and beneficiaries number.

From its foundation in 2001, Hope and Health has developed a complex of support services – all together called “day care center for disabled” social service. Finally, the service and its quality standards were legally approved by the GD 569 on 19-11-2019 and today Hope and Health has aligned to the standards and lobby for public funding.

By this project, Hope and Health will assure its beneficiaries in 2023 with access to quality services – such as therapy, training, social activities – and their parents and / or caregivers with adequate support to manage their family life and balance different priorities.
